Gangtok, the capital city of the small state of Sikkim, seems to have come alive from the fairyland of a child's fantasy. Directly facing the city is the hill Lukshyma, the 'Mother of Pearl' citadel of the magic mountain, Khang-Chen-Dzod-Nga, which is worshipped as a local deity. - By Road: The busiest route in and out of Sikkim is the road between Gangtok and Siliguri, also the nearest airport and railway station.
