Sometimes you just need to get away from the craziness of the Strip in order to see what Nevada has to offer. There is no better place to do that then by taking a nice leisurely ride along Lake Las Vegas in a gondola.
If you thought the Venetian was the only place you could do in hopes of recreating a famous Italian boat ride, you were wrong. At Lake Las Vegas you can take your pick from three different gondolas, all stretching 36 feet long and capable of fitting 12 people.
Gondola rides can last anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. Guests will be given plenty of time to soak in the beauty of the lake as they snap photos of the swans, ducks and guess that call the lake home. Guests can also follow the Italian tradition of kissing as they glide under the Ponte Vecchio Bridge as they are serenaded by a singing gondolier. The romance doesn't stop with the scenery and the songs as riders are treated to a gourmet meal. For those scheduling an evening cruise you can take your pick of bourbon glazed salmon, a rib eye steak or Melrose chicken Chardonnay. All served with china crystal glasses for your champagne toast. For those that are seeking a day in the sun, the ride comes with a box lunch.
Of course what kind of ride would it be if you couldn't do a little upgrading, that is why the staff offers packages to make each trip a little more romantic. You can purchase things such as roses for your loved one, a disposable camera in case you forgot to bring one and want to capture the memories or a "Message in a Bottle."
For those that are looking to get a little bit of Italy by taking a gondola ride and don't want to have to deal with all the commotion involving the Vegas Strip, then Lake Las Vegas should be your point of destination.
