Sahara Hotel
2535 Las Vegas Blvd, South
Las Vegas, NV 89109
For more than 50 years the Sahara Hotel has been seen as one of the premiere hotels that has managed to remain affordable for practically all visitors.
By hosting celebrities such as the Rat Pack as well as serving as the backdrop of movies such as Ocean's 11 it should come as no surprise that the Sahara Hotel has solidified itself as a true Vegas icon.
Where as the Sahara used to host music acts such as Liberace, it is now home to acts such as Beary Hobb's Drifters, The Platters and Cornell Gunter's Coaster's. The Amazing Johnathan provides an alternative to the music acts as her performs his own brand of weir, wacky and demented magic in the Congo Room.
While the shows and casino floor is packed full of action, the Sahara Hotel realizes that they aren't for everybody. That is why the hotel also features the Speedway. Designed especially for the thrill seekers, the Speedway is a mix of video games and real life rides. Speed-The Ride is a roller coaster that will leave you with white knuckles as you are rushed to the top of the hotel and then whizzed through a 72 foot loop. For those that are looking for something a little safer, the video game arcade has a variety of arcade games such as virtual reality games.
Now that you have has your fun you may want to turn your attention to filling that empty feeling in the pit of your stomach. In addition to featuring the Sahara Buffet the hotel also has restaurants such as the House of Lords and NASCAR Café.
Due to that fact that it has so much to see and do, it's easy to see why the Sahara Hotel will continue to be a symbol of Las Vegas for many years to come.
