So you are coming to Vegas and want to experience what Vegas was really like before all the glitz and glamour took over, then you may want to head over to the El Cortez.
Located just a few blocks from the Fremont Street Experience, El Cortez is recognized as one of the oldest downtown casino and still remains one of the top casinos around as it features over 45,000 square feet of casino space and seemingly has something for everybody. Sit down at a table and play a couple of hands of Blackjack or hang out at the Roulette wheel and pray for that little white marble to land on your high school jersey number. For those that aren't into the table games, the casino also features over 1,180 slot machines and a happening sports book.
When it comes time to grab a bite to eat, El Cortez proves that is one step ahead of the game as it features not one, but two buffets. The Chinese Kitchen Buffet is ideal for those that have a craving for some Asian delicacies while the Express Breakfast Buffet is guaranteed to get your day started off on the right foot. Not looking to stuff your gut? The hotel also has a variety of sit down and fast food restaurants such as Roberta's, Careful Kitty's Cafe and Subway. Be sure to leave room for dessert as you can stop by Dreyer's for a little bit of ice cream.
When it comes to the nightlife, you don't have to go far. Take one step outside the hotel and you will find yourself in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience which has become one of the most popular areas in town. Take some time and check out the street performers as they sing, juggle and mime their way into your heart.
