Looking for an experience that is truly unique to Vegas? Then try checking out the Ethel M Chocolates.
Visitors to the factory are taken on a guided tour complete with information placards and video demonstrations. Guests get a bird's eye view of how the tasty treat are actually made through large glass windows. Guests can watch every step of the process from the filling of the candy to the wrapping in foil.
The tour comes to a sugary sweet end as guests take a trip to the Chocolate Shoppe. The first sample is free, but very few can quench their sweet tooth with just one. Treats such as Lemon Satin Cremes, Caramel Splendors and almond Clusters are too much to resist.
After the tour, guests can wander through the tropical three acre Botanical Cactus Gardens to work off some of those calories. With more than 350 species of cactus, the Gardens is the largest of its kind in the country. Guests can also rest their weary legs and take in the natural beauty by sitting on the benches that are placed throughout the garden. Trees such as the Twisted Acacia and Desert Willow provide shade for guests.
Another attraction that shouldn't be overlooked is the "Living Machine." Using live bacteria, the wastewater treatment system recycles 100 percent of the factory's wastewater. The machine recycles 32,000 gallons of water a day and uses no chemicals.
For any chocolate lover, the Ethel M Chocolates factory tour is one of those things that should not be missed.
