When it comes to leaders of the art industry, the Las Vegas Art Museum takes a back seat to nobody. With exhibits coming from benefactors such as the Smithsonian, its easy to see why the museum continues to bring visitors in on a daily basis.

Built in 1950, the museum was known as the Las Vegas Art League in Lorenzi Park and was known for being the first fine arts museum in the Southern Nevada area. Throughout the years, the library has gone under several new building phases and is currently right next door to the Sahara West Library.
By constantly adding art work such as oil paintings and surreal pieces, the Las Vegas Art Museum continues to show that they are dedicated to bringing in artwork from all around the world and from artists such as Gaugin, Manet, Titian and Bottecilli.

With so many masterpieces it should come as no surprise that the museum continues to give back to the community in hopes of raising art awareness. The museum has joined forces with the Clark County School District and works as a mentor to aspiring artists. The museum also holds several art competition each year and displays many of the students works of art.

It's just not students that can benefit from the museum, though. The museum also has adult art classes where students can get help in everything from sculpting all the way to drawing. The gift shop is the perfect place to pick up the tools that they need to practice their hobby at home.
Whether you are fan of Van Gogh or Michealangelo, the Las Vegas Art Museum has plenty of masterpieces to choose from
