1 Gunfighter Ln.
Old Nevada, NV
Movies like True Grit, The Dirty Dozen and Tombstone have all taken viewers back in time when the west was still an untamed regions and outlaws roamed the landscape. Now people can get an up close and personal look at what it was really like to live during those times as they visit Bonnie Springs Ranch.
With tumbleweeds blowing across the 155 acre ranch, guests get to live out their dreams of living in the Wild West. During your trip to the Bonnie Springs Ranch you can check out many of the wildlife such as coyotes, polecats, deer, horses and elk that call the ranch home.
Stroll along the same unpaved streets that covered wagons once rumbled down as they made their way down the Old Spanish Trail. With its authentic stables, sheriff's office, chapel, bank and opera house to check out, guests may have little time to hit the petting zoo.
Of course it wouldn't be a trip back to the old west without testing your shooting skills so why not wander on over to the shooting gallery and see how you measure up against some of the other quick draws. Those that want to see what it took to live in olden days may want to check out the Nevada Museum. The museum is filled with things such as gambling tables, an 1880 organ and a lighted projector. Guests can even suit up in western wear and strike a pose for all of time.
You can't go to a western town and not expect to see a gunfight. That is why the ranch stages re-enactments of gunfights, robberies and hangings every afternoon. While you are waiting for one of the performances to start you may want to check out the petting zoo. Kids can get up close and personal with animals such as prarie dogs, wolves, llamas and emu.
No matter if you are fascinated with the image of the Wild West or are just looking to get away from the Strip and enjoy a day out in the sun, Bonnie Springs Ranch is the place where history gets brought to life.
