The drive from California to Vegas can be a long one, that is why most people get a rush of adrenaline as they spot the first casino over the state line, that casino is none other than Whiskey Pete's.
First established as a two pump gas station, Whiskey Pete's has become a popular spot for gamblers to get their first taste of the casino floor.
With a name like Whiskey Pete's, a western theme is almost a given. That is why it shouldn't surprise you that the theme continues down to the casino floor and restaurants.
For those that are looking to hanker down over a nice piece of steak, the Silver Spur Steakhouse should be your first and only stop. Of course, if you are just looking for some liquid refreshment then the hotel also offers three full service bars. Not everybody comes to Vegas for drinking and gambling, there are those that like to come for the shows. With that in mind, Whiskey Pete's boasts a 700 seat showroom that has housed acts such as Gallagher and Crystal Gayle.
If all this isn't enough to keep you entertained, Whiskey Pete's also offer a free shuttle service that will whisk you away to neighboring hotel and casinos, the Primm Valley Resort and Buffalo Bill's.
No matter if you are driving into Vegas or leaving it, Whiskey Pete's has become an attraction that visitors continue to flock to year after year.
