Or, spend a night in Lahaina at the Maui Theatre enjoying a presentation of Ulalena, a fusion of traditional Butoh Theater, hula, modern dance, and Hawaiian storytelling. Cliff Diving Ceremony
Every night at the Sheraton Maui Resort a young man honors the last chief of Maui, Kahekili, by walking to the top of Puu Kekaa (Black Rock) and diving into the sea below. The sound of a conch shell, old Hawaii chants, and lighted torches flickering in the moonlight are all part of the ceremony honoring both Kahekili and the young cliff diver. |

The Feast at Lele
On Front Street on the beach at Lahaina this is a review of the cultures of Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and Tonga. Music, dance, chanting, story telling, and wonderful Polynesian food combine to make the evening memorable. Not a traditional luau, this is much more! Guests sit at tables and attempt to consume a five course diner. |
