Miami Attractions

Miami attractions exist that will engage every interest. There are numerous historical and architectural landmarks throughout the region, most notably the art deco district of South Beach. Deep sea fishing, museums, sandy beaches, a huge cruise ship port, the Everglades, the Florida Keys, the Miami Metrozoo, art galleries, sports arenas, the Miami Seaquarium, the magnificent Deering Estate and Merrick House, and the fascinating Coral Castle, are just the tip of the iceberg. In fact, there is so much to see and do in South Florida that a bit of research can go a long way towards the construction of an itinerary. Check out some of the offerings here to familiarize yourself with what's available and then go ahead and book one or more Miami attractions.

Vizcaya Palace Museum and Gardens
James Deering, an agricultural industrialist, had this amazing "palace" built in the style of a self-sufficient Italian villa covering 180 acres. Designers spent seven years creating the gardens and the total effort employed the services of over 1,000 workmen at a time when Miami's population was a mere 10,000. Miami-Dade County now operates the estate as a public museum.
