The area of Niagara Falls gets its name from the beautiful waterfall that straddles the U.S. and Canadian border. On the U.S. side of the falls, Niagara Falls is positioned in New York State just outside of the northwest corner of the city of Buffalo. On the Canadian side, city of Niagara Falls is located in Torronto, Ontario. What is known as Niagara Falls is actually several waterfalls, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horeshoe Falls which collectively have 600,000 gallons fall over them per second.
