Walt Disney World

When Walt Disney World opened in 1971 it harpooned Orlando into an all-encompassing realm of theme parks. The concept behind Disney World was to create a more elaborate and wide-reaching entourage of attractions and activities that appealed to children and adults the same. Ever since, four Disney theme parks have emerged and entertained millions across the globe.

•  Magic Kingdom
•  Epcot Center
•  Disney-MGM Studios
•  Disney's Animal Kingdom

Magic Kingdom features the traditional side of Disney which is more character focused, less hi-tech and equipped with some of the older, yet still popular, rides. This park is mostly geared toward younger children, but it doesn't mean that adults can't enjoy it too. You have your choice of four unique "lands": Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Adventureland and Fantasyland. Probably the most widely-recognized and adored attraction is the magnificent Cinderella Castle that towers tall within Magic Kingdom Park. During nighttime, the castle lights up with vibrant colors that interchange throughout the evening.

Epcot Center, synonymous with its gargantuan "geosphere", combines science, fun and education all in one place. Where else can you soar like a bird above the beautiful landscape of California, be shrunk down to the size of bug, sample fine cuisine from around the world, or witness a spectacular laser and fireworks display.

When Disney-MGM Studios opened in 1989, it became the first movie-focused theme park. The idea was to create attractions that appealed to both kids and adults. This began with the making of Who Framed Roger Rabbit which combined cartoon animation, real life acting and adult innuendos. Ever since, Disney-MGM Studios has been presenting various stage shows and educational tours that are certain to keep you entertained and teach you about what goes on behind the scenes.

Explore the exciting wildlife adventures of Disney's Animal Kingdom. The experience is more extraordinary than walking through a zoo. With over 500 acres of wide-open land the animals here are not enclosed in confined areas; they are free to roam. You can get close enough to really see them, especially in the morning when they are most active. Along the way, a truly captivating sight is the Tree of Life. If you look closely at the trunk you'll find hundreds of animals carved into a beautiful menagerie.
