Palm Springs Golf Resorts. |
| Golf courses are everywhere in the Coachella Valley. Are there really over 100 golf courses here? And what about golf resorts? Well, there can be little doubt that Palm Springs is the Golf Capital of the West, and has a long history of both "executive" golfing by celebrities, ex-presidents, and other luminaries, and professional tournaments. Both the Indian Canyons Golf Resort and Escena Golf Club are relatively new resorts awaiting your approval. Casey O'Callaghan designed the Indian Canyons course in consultation with LPGA Hall-Of-Famer Amy Alcott. Nicklaus Design architected the classic Escena course. All courses in the Palm Springs area suffer from the same malady: too much distracting scenery! Who would have thought "keeping your head down" could be this difficult? In any case, golfers will find the lure of Palm Springs golf and golf courses irresistible. |
