Miles of soft sandy beaches and lush tropical landscape filled with over 100 different species of palm trees and 1,000 different species of plants and flowers. What more could you possibly ask for during your vacation?
With more than 14 acres of property the Catamaran Resort seemingly has something for everybody. Located near Mission Bay, the hotel's location is perfect for those that want to spend the bay out on the water renting ski boats, waverunners, paddleboats, sailboats or kayaks. For those that aren't looking to spend all their time getting wet, you are just a few miles from places such as SeaWorld and historic Old Town. If you are much more of a homebody feel free to wander around the property and check out all the different plant life as well as the many different koi ponds, just be sure to keep an eye out for the colorful macaws which call out from the home in the trees overhead.
For those that are seeking a little pampering session during their vacation, the Bayside Spa and Health Club is the perfect place. The fitness club features a state of the art indoor fitness facility as well as and outdoor patio. The outdoor area features a pool and a video games arcade as well as a spa. The center also offers yoga and Pilates classes on a private lawn that is right next to the beach.
For those that are looking to grab a bite to eat the Atoll Restaurant serves up some delicious California cuisine and has also been known for its champagne brunches. Depending on the time of year, guests will be treated to a special complimentary cocktail cruise aboard a sternwheeler.
All of these amenities shouldn't detract from the luxurious guestrooms. The hotel features 313 rooms all tropically themed and equipped with state of the art equipment such as high-speed Internet access, fridges, satellite TV and coffee makers.
If you are planning a trip to San Diego and looking to stay close to all the main attractions, then the Catamaran Resort has got to be your hotel of choice.
