After undergoing a facelift in 2004 hotel now features additional guestrooms, a restaurant, second pool and a new lobby. If you are looking for a place that the whole family can get together for a meal, you may want to try the Blue Pearl Restaurant.
With views of the garden, Mission Bay or the marina guests are treated to some of the best views if they just look right outside their window. Each of the 270 guestrooms also features wireless Internet access, separate vanity areas and easy chairs. For those that don't mind spending a couple of extra dollars, the deluxe rooms come added amenities such as wet bars, private patios and balconies, microwaves, fridges and coffee makers.
If you are looking for a way to keep busy, the hotel has a variety of options. It features a free shuttle to SeaWorld as well as being three miles from Old Town and seven miles from San Diego Zoo. For those that are looking to stay closer to the hotel, you can head out to Mission Bay for some fun. The hotel rents out all sorts of water sports equipment including motor boats and kayaks. If you haven't quite got your sea legs underneath you, the hotel also offers water skiing and sailing lessons.
