For the historians, there may be no better hotel in San Diego than the Keating House. Dating back to the late 1880's, the Keating House is one of the many Victorian style homes that started to pop up all over Banker's Hill and made that area one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in the city.
Over a century later, the Keating House remains one of the area's most beautiful homes and is close to attractions such as the Zoo, Seaport Village, Balboa Park, Gaslamp District and Horton Plaza. The house is also within walking distance of various restaurants, bars, theaters and coffee houses.
The lobby area of the Keating House features a parlor, foyer and dinning area. Each one of the area comes with its own fireplace and high ceilings. The perfect place to rest your weary bones and check out the landscape which feature gardens containing roses, cacti, jasmine, orchids, banana trees and bougainvillea.
The nine guestrooms each come tastefully decorated in rich colors and are highlighted by Victorian molding and freshly cut flowers. The rooms also feature hand picked antiques as well as large windows. Each room features private bathroom and most come with garden views for those that want to wake up with the sounds of birds chirping and the slightest hint of jasmine wafting through the air.
If you are looking for a place that is as beautiful as it is historical, then the Keating House is the place you want to be.
