Downtown is surrounded and defined by the horseshoe shaped Paseo de Peralta and South Guadalupe Street. The Santa Fe River, which varies from a respectable water flow to a trickle, passes through downtown from east to west. Many hotels and motels are located on Cerrillos Road. See if you can find these thoroughfares on the city map and then zoom out and see how I-25 passes to the south of the city and Cerrillos Road branches northeast directly into downtown.
